Privacy policy
Cookies
In accordance with the standard practice of most websites, Łukasiewicz‑PORT stores HTTP queries directed to our server. The resources viewed are identified by their URLs.
The exact list of cookies used is as follows:
- session cookies for logged‑in users,
- a cookie storing language preferences,
- a cookie that stores information confirming that the cookie information window has been closed (installed plugin),
- cookies storing information relating to the ability to print articles (web pages) using the PrintFriendly plugin.
The cookie mechanism is not used to obtain any information about users of the service, nor to track their navigation. Cookies used on PORT websites do not store any personal data or other information collected from users.
These data are not associated with specific individuals browsing PORT pages. To ensure the highest possible quality of service, we analyse log files to determine which pages are visited most frequently, which web browsers are used, whether the site structure contains errors, and so on.
The collected logs are stored for an indefinite period as auxiliary material used for administering the service. The information they contain is not disclosed to anyone other than persons authorised to administer the server and the PORT network. Based on the log files, statistics may be generated to assist with administration. Aggregate summaries presented in the form of such statistics do not contain any features that could identify individuals visiting the service.
Each User may disable the “cookies” mechanism in their device’s web browser. The Operator notes that disabling cookies may, however, cause difficulties or prevent the use of the system.
PORT is not responsible for the privacy policies or cookie policies of websites linked from this service.
Google Services
-
Use of Google reCAPTCHA
To ensure data security during the submission of forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc., which helps distinguish whether an entry has been made by a natural person or by automated processing. More information about the service is available at: https://developers.google.com/recaptcha?hl=en. The service is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Google Fonts
To ensure consistent presentation of text, the service uses Google Fonts. When a page is loaded, your browser retrieves the font into its cache in order to display the text on the page correctly. It is possible to configure your browser so that fonts are not loaded from Google, for example by installing browser extensions. If your browser does not support Google Fonts, the text will be displayed using a standard system font. Information on displaying Google Fonts is available at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq?hl=en. The service is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Google Maps
To present event locations, the service uses the Google Maps mapping service provided by Google Inc. More information on the terms of using Google Maps features can be found in the Additional Terms of Service for Google Maps and Google Earth (including Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service).
- YouTube
To present audiovisual materials, the service uses YouTube plugins offered by Google. More information about the YouTube service is available at:
