INTERCEPT
The Research Task entitled ‘Targeted single-cell technology for cancer diagnostics – towards cell-oriented interceptive medicine’ [INTERCEPT] will be conducted by a research team from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań under the leadership of Prof Marek Figlerowicz, PhD.
The main goal of the Research Task is to re volutionize the diagnostics of the cancer through the development of microfluidic-free nucleic acid-based cell-oriented technology and demonstrate its usefulness by constructing prototypic, targeted single-cell diagnostic tests for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).
The project seeks to bring highly advanced single-cell analysis technologies to the clinics by reducing its technical complexity and cost, and improving its overall clinical utility.
The amount of funding allocated to the project is PLN 40,216,289.50.
The Key Personnel of the Research Team consists of scientists from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań:
